Friday Free for All
Hi everyone, I was watching youtube today and came across a bunch of old tv shows that I used to watch. One particular show seemed to stand out in my mind: The Love Boat. The thing I loved about the Love Boat is that every week there were different guest stars in an episode. I frequent the catholic chat room on AOL here and thought of how most of us get together like an extended family and talk almost every day. How fun would it be to do that on a cruise ship? Now obviously we do not want to put anybody on the ship that does not like each other. But I can just imagine some of the different chatters getting to know one another. Some chatters I would want are Sean,Dash, Wing, Alth, Kat,Marie,Laffs, Ellie, Dawg, and Pats along with myself on the cruise ship. What a blast that would be. All the different personalities getting to know one another. Sean could play chess against someone and continue his losing streak of 3,000 matches in a row. Wing, Dash, Laffs, Dawg and I could talk sports and politics. The Ladies on the cruise ship can do whatever they choose to do. I would make sure everyone had Coca Cola (Thought you would like that Wing) What I am trying to get too here is take the time to get to know someone new, see what they like and dislike and make some new friends. If all of us were put on a cruise ship by ourselves and we really did know anyone else we would be forced to get to know someone else. So thats my homework getting to know somebody new. Remember family is already chosen for us but, friends are family we choose for ourselves.

Yo, Mike!
Thanks for including me in the list of guys you would like on your cruise. I can think of a few more I might include, but you made a good start.
And, I'm NOT that bad a chess player! A fairly good club level player. Bet I would beat you a LOT. (Smiles)
Sincerely, Sean
Heyyy...I wanna be Julie! I think I already make a great cruise director on chat: making sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time and not beating each other silly with their shuffleboard sticks! And, hey, as cruise director I will make sure the mega roller coaster on the Lido deck is running 24/7, LOL.
We really would make up quite a Love Boat cast eh? Like any family, I know there are times we wish the big boat would come with a plank, haha, but I think if we were all put there together for a long weekend we would come away better for it. I am grateful and blessed to be able to get to know you, Mike, as well as the other people we see every day on a more personal level. Underneath all the politics, room wars, fanaticism and even the jiihads I really think most of us are cool. I even hear Sean cleans up pretty well after a hard day of chess on the Promenade deck (smile)
PS.. I sent your blog to Overjoel he wants to be Isaac the bartender, not sure what kind of liberal drinks he might be able to concoct, LOL... as long as mine comes with one of those cute little umbrellas I'm a happy camper!
